Traffic chaos on A6: Three truck accidents cause multiple injuries

Emergency services on duty for hours – A6 fully closed in both directions

Several people were injured in three separate truck accidents on the A6 motorway near Kaiserslautern on Tuesday. The motorway was fully closed in both directions for several hours.

The first accident occurred at around 7:30 a.m. when a truck jackknifed on the A6 near the Enkenbach-Alsenborn exit. The truck driver was seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital. The cause of the accident is still unclear.

Around two hours later, there was a second accident involving two trucks near the Winnweiler exit. One of the trucks overturned and landed in the ditch. The driver of this truck was also seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital. The other truck driver was slightly injured.

The third accident occurred at around 11:30 a.m. when a truck rear-ended another truck near the Kaiserslautern-West exit. The driver of the rear-ending truck was slightly injured.

All three accidents caused major traffic jams on the A6. The motorway was fully closed in both directions for several hours. The traffic jams extended for several kilometers in both directions.

The emergency services were on duty for hours to clear the wreckage and investigate the accidents. The A6 was not fully reopened until around 5 p.m.

The police are investigating the causes of all three accidents.
